HKSYU Rises to 171st in 2025 QS Eastern Asia Rankings

According to QS Eastern Asia University Rankings 2025, Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU) has climbed to 171st place, a significant improvement from last year’s 180th place, maintaining its status as the top-ranked private university in Hong Kong for the third consecutive year.
Dr Alex LI Wang-on, Associate Academic Vice President (University Research) of HKSYU, shared “HKSYU is committed to enhancing our QS ranking. Among private universities in Hong Kong, we stand out in areas such as international exposure, the number of exchange students, industry networks, graduate pathways, and employer reputation. We are also focused on expanding our alumni network to spread awareness of our exceptional educational offerings.”
QS stated that HKSYU is the only education institution in Hong Kong that has insisted on offering 4-year higher education programmes for more than 30 years. The Chinese meaning of Shue Yan is the cultivation of virtue. Emphasis is laid on the preservation and propagation of traditional Chinese culture and the educational ideals of Confucianism. This makes Shue Yan a very valuable addition to the educational matrix of Hong Kong.
