The Master of Science in Game Development and Management (MSc-GDM) is HKSYU’s first Master’s degree programme focused on game development and management, and Alumnus Gabriel Pang is among its 2026 graduates. Serving as the Chairman of the Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Association (HKDEA), Alumnus Pang gave an exclusive interview to Shue Yan Newsletter shortly after completing his required Master's coursework. He noted that the "仁" (benevolence) in Shue Yan embodies the depth of Chinese culture—emphasising human connections in all matters, where one must first cultivate oneself before helping others, serving as a mindset of mutual support. Reflecting on his years in the innovation and technology industry, Alumnus Pang shared that he has taken great pleasure in assisting many companies with grant applications, aiming to empower more young people to find their own path to success. He added that the university motto, “Cultivating virtues of benevolence; broadening horizon and knowledge” (敦仁博物), will serve as a guiding motto long after his Master’s graduation.
