Renowned Screenwriter Alumna Pun Man-hung: Often Dreams of Having $30 Billion to Support a Creative Team

Alumna PUN Man-hung, a renowned screenwriter, pursued her dreams and entered the television screenwriting industry after graduating from the Journalism Department at Shue Yan. Describing her mindset within a collective creative environment, she said: "I often dream that if I had 30 billion dollars, I could support a group of people and let them create whatever they want. They could put their work on a platform, and even if only one person watched and clapped, that would be wonderful. I truly hope to create with joy." In 2015, she became a freelance screenwriter. Meanwhile, in terms of teaching, she has served as a part-time lecturer in the Department of Journalism and Communication at her alma mater for years. She frequently encourages students to try what they want to do most at least once, without worrying too much about the money. "If you want to be a robber, well, that’s no good. But while you have the fewest burdens, do what you love. What makes me happiest now is looking back and realising that, even if I could choose all over again, I couldn't choose any other path."
